We built SpecPep around one idea.
A supplier should be auditable, not just trustworthy. Everything we do follows from that.
The problem with "high purity"
Search for research peptides and every supplier says the same thing: high purity, lab tested, premium grade. Almost none will show you the chromatogram for the lot in your hand. Fewer still confirm identity by mass spectrometry — which means a supplier can honestly advertise 99% purity for a compound that is not the one you ordered.
That gap is the whole reason SpecPep exists. Our name is the specification: a lot either meets every release gate or it does not ship. There is no middle category and no judgement call.
What we actually do
SpecPep materials are synthesized in a U.S. facility operating under current Good Manufacturing Practice controls, inside an ISO 9001:2015 quality-management framework. Purification is by preparative reverse-phase HPLC to a ≥99.0% specification, followed by lyophilization and controlled fill.
Release testing is not performed by us. It is performed by ISO/IEC 17025 accredited third-party laboratories, because a supplier grading its own homework is not verification. Every lot is released with its own Certificate of Analysis covering HPLC purity, mass-spec identity, LAL endotoxin screen, USP <71> sterility screen and fill-weight verification.
What we don't do
We do not give dosing guidance. We do not describe protocols, reconstitution volumes, administration routes or schedules. We do not make therapeutic claims, and we do not sell to anyone representing that a product will be used for human or veterinary consumption.
This is not legal throat-clearing. Research chemical suppliers that blur this line create risk for their customers and for the entire category. We would rather be the boring one.
